1998 - Master of Science in Epidemiology, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskachewan

2003 - Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskachewan

EMPLOYMENT

1990 to 1991 - Clinical internship, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Minnesota

1991 to 2001 - Small animal veterinary practice - full-time and part-time small animal, emergency and critical care, and locum veterinarian

2003 to 2007 – Small Animal Epidemiologist, Epidemiology Unit, Animal Health Trust, Kentford, Suffolk

2007 to 2009 – Head, Small Animal Epidemiology Unit, Animal Health Trust, Kentford, Suffolk


 

Post-doctoral experience

Vicki came to the UK to start working at the Animal Health Trust (AHT) in January 2003 as a Small Animal Epidemiologist with James Wood who was the Head of the Epidemiology Unit. In 2007, Vicki became Head of the newly formed Small Animal Epidemiology Unit at the AHT. Vicki left the AHT in 2009 to start her own consulting business.

Research interests

Since moving to the UK, Vicki has planned and undertaken studies of the epidemiology of feline diseases in collaboration with the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB) and clinicians in the Centre for Small Animal Studies at the AHT. Vicki has also worked on several studies of canine diseases in collaboration with AHT clinicians and the Kennel Club.
